Paulette Griffin is Vice President of Human Resources Operations, at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), Sinai-Grace Hospital, Detroit Receiving Hospital and University Health Center, as well as Harper-Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Mrs. Griffin began her career as a Staff Nurse in a surgical unit. Following her work as a Home Care Coordinator with the Visiting Nurse Association, she joined Detroit Receiving Hospital and University Health Center in 1980 as a Nurse Recruiter. Since 1983, Paulette has held a variety of supervisor, manager and director positions with the DMC.
A native of North Carolina, Mrs. Griffin earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Mercy College in Detroit, MI. She also earned a master’s degree in Human Services from the University of Detroit in Detroit, MI.
Mrs. Griffin served as a reservist in the United States Army Nurse Corps. for 20 years and retired with the rank of Major. A community organizer, Mrs. Griffin formerly served as president of the Michigan Association of Nurse Recruiters, Detroit Black Nurses Association and Healthcare Human Resources Administration.
Paulette resides in Detroit, Michigan. She is the proud mother of four children and enjoys spending her time with her eight grandchildren.
